What is Psychosynthesis?
Psychosynthesis is a holistic approach to therapy that looks at all the different facets of who you are — not just your problems or symptoms, but also your strengths, values and deeper potential. It helps you explore, not only why you’re hurting, but also your purpose, your sense of yourself, and your wisdom.
All the facets of you
Psychosynthesis sees each of us as made up of many different parts, or subpersonalities. Subpersonalities — such as the “inner critic”, “caregiver”, “rebel” or “victim” — are formed in response to our life circumstances. They can serve us in many cases, yet often become limiting over time.
We will get to know them without judgement, learn what they are trying to protect, and how to integrate them into a greater whole. In time, you will be able to observe them function, and choose how to respond. This will help you to feel more centered and in control of your inner world.
Unlike some therapies that focus mainly on healing symptoms, psychosynthesis helps you grow toward your future. Along the way, we might find answers to deeper questions, like, “who are you becoming?” and “what gives you meaning?”
Psychosynthesis is about healing, self-discovery and becoming more balanced.
My role as a therapist
I see myself as a guide on your journey of self-exploration.
When you are in pain and don’t know where to begin, I will sit with you — to listen, to understand the weight of your suffering, and what it might reveal.
When you are ready to take the first step, I will walk beside you to steady your pace, and to name the pitfalls before you stumble.
When you fall, I will reach out, to help you rise again and keep moving forward.
When patterns repeat and traps reappear, we will turn inward to meet your subpersonalities, hear their fears, and understand why your past still whispers in the present.
When the time comes to choose differently, I will hold the space for you to find courage and clarity.
Together, we will search and listen, and we will find the key to unlocking your inner strength, and your untapped potential.
